Lambton Park Development Update

Planning for the first phase of the Lambton Park development has been approved.

This is following a reserved matters planning application covering the landscaping, appearance, scale and layout of the development. 106 new homes will be constructed as part of this phase.

The wider development of 400 homes and office development will result in specific commitments from the developers to the community:

  • Over 4 hectares of public open space
  • Public access to the Lambton Estate
  • £550,135 towards the provision of school places
  • £250,000 towards the provision of public art
  • 15% affordable housing and a programme of conservation works

It is hoped that the office provisions within the wider development, which would be phased in over 20 years, will help to bring and support around 500 jobs, complementing the existing Bowes Offices within Lambton Park.
